Locs & VIBES POP UP (2020)
In the midst of a year defined by grief, resilience, and collective action, we gathered at the historic Black Lives Matter mural in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn for LOCS & VIBES POP UP. This free community event was a moment to breathe, reconnect, and celebrate the beauty of locs, natural hair, and our shared strength. Against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic and nationwide protests for justice, we came together to honor our culture, uplift one another, and create space for joy in the face of struggle.
These photos capture the energy of that day — crowns shining, smiles radiant, and vibes flowing — a reminder that even in the hardest times, our community continues to rise, resist, and celebrate life unapologetically.
